How to Make Work From Home Easy During Pandemic 2020

Work from home is not just common nowadays  but also essential for our safety due to covid-19 social distancing is the only option we have, to be safe from virus. Almost from the last one year we are facing this pandemic situation as India is a developing country so  we can not afford to stop working. 

Our economy is badly bashed because of the pandemic situation is now little bit under control but still it is not fully safe so work from home is one of the option by which we can be safe as well as can earn for our livinghood. 

We quickly found out that a combination of human flexibility and dedication, contributed by an up-to-date technological infrastructure helped us  to face the new challenges of fully remote working.Technology helps by connecting us with the world whether it's for work or for other than that.

But it also very difficult to manage remote work here are some tips to make it easy

  1. Choose your workplace. 
  2. Select consistent work hours.
  3. Make a To-Do list.
  4. Avoid social media.
  5. Connect with office colleagues

#Choose Your Workplace

Difference between work from home and from office? The Simple answer is in single word comfort. We feel more comfortable at home than at the office but for productively too much comfort is not good so during remote work don’t forget to choose your home office. 

Before choosing any place remember it should be somewhere you should not feel sleepy especially it should not be bedroom otherwise you will not be able to concentrate on your work.

Some point to choose ideal place

  • Choose a corner  with good natural lighting, if possible.
  • Set it up with a chair and desk comfortable to sit on, for around 8 hours a day.
  • Put your laptop on the placed desk.
  • Keep your required materials like a diary, pens, water bottle  & a lamp, right by the side.

By picking these points will help you in choosing a favourable home office.

#Select consistent work hours.

During work from home you forget the time span for proper work. Remember time is very important it should not be exceeded  because spending time with family is also important.

So decide  8 hours of time to work like an office and during that time focus only on work avoid the other work .

Even during lunch it takes only half hours to do it  just like you do in the office. Set in mind that you're in office.

  • Set your alarm for the time one hour before  your office hour.
  • Freshen up  before settling in your work space.
  • Before going ahead with work, set the alarm.
  • start your tasks with full dedication.
  • End your work on time.

Planning is  very important for any task so  do it with your work hours and it makes you more confident as well as  it will make you feel satisfied with your work. 

#Make a To-Do list

Prepare a list of work you have to do and also divide time accordingly. It will help you in finishing your work on time.keeping track of your work is important for knowing your productivity.It will let you understand how much you are productive and how much time you are wasting . 

By tracking your progress you can utilize your time much betterly. Like if you are doing a particular task in a given time span you can use more challenging tasks during that remaining time which will help you in better performance and better growth in your career.

  • Make a  written To-do list & a plane because remembering so much can give you a severe headache.
  • Make it systematically so that it can easily understand .
  • Share the planner with your colleagues to notify them of the time you have blocked .

At remote work, scheduling yourself will help you in getting the best result.

#Avoid social media.

Social media can become a big problem if you will not handle it properly it can create hurdles in your work . So handling it properly is more important , you have to make a time list or set time so that you will not waste time on social media only during your work.

Distribute some little amount of your time on social media only for entertainment .

  • Observe how much time you spend on each social media application.
  • Decide on a specific amount of time you want to spend on each app, in a day .
  • Make sure to log into those apps only during breaks or post-work schedules.

Connect with your friends using social media, it will help you in refreshing your mood during remote work.handling it is in your hand.

#Connect with office colleagues

For getting reports and being updated it is very important to connect with your colleagues so that you can feel like you are in the office and also it will motivate you for your work.the environment of workplace and home is different at office you are surrounded with people who are working like you but at home you can feel alone and it can make you feel frustrated .This can badly affect your work.

So connecting with your colleagues will help you in this situation . If you are a team leader then it is your responsibility to motivate your team during remote work. Time to time connection and motivation is essential for work from home. 

Working from home is difficult for many of us but with this point it will become a little bit easier by creating a todo list and distributing your time correctly so you can make your work more efficient and easy .
