Key Responsibilities:To work in a well - geld fashion with the medical billing team working in RCM to assign the diagnosis and procedure codes from the available medical documents as provided by the US healthcare providers for the services rendered to patients.ICD - 9 - CM Coding: To assign appropriate diagnosis codes from the current version of ICD - 9 - CMCPT: To assign appropriate CPT codesHCPCS: To assign the appropriate HCPCS codes for non - physicians services with appropriate modifiers as applicableExperience and Qualification:Graduation in Sciences / B.Pharm / Dpharm / Medical.1 - 2years US Healthcare domain - specificAwareness of US Healthcare Industry and complete understanding of coding updatesComplete understanding of US healthcare Industry especially of RCM and healthcare BPOs
